Pros Decent pay. Cons Nothing. Do you enjoy working at your company? They're extremely short-staffed on both the night crew pullers and the drivers which often means that you're forced to pick up the slack in places that aren't part of your job. Your long hours will often become longer because there just simply aren't enough people to get the job done. Pros 4-day weeks for most route drivers, mostly left to do your own thing as long as you get the work done.

They pretend to listen, then do nothing. It's quite hilarious how the company is ran. Pros They don't care what you do. Cons They suffer for it. We will see how it goes just starting and I heard good and bad things the fact its only 4 days with a 3 day weekend is good looking forward to seeing how it goes. Pros Off Friday Saturday Sunday. Cons Short break.
The night crew is a joke. They would rather argue and gossip than get the job done. Management is afraid to use disciplinary action on the workers who act out so everyone basiclly does what they want. Pros Paychecks aren't bad. Cons Work long 12 to 15 hour days with 1 break.

Assistant Operations Manager. The job is a difficult one. Very physical. But the company treats everyone well and the customers are usually pretty great. There are times of stress, holidays can be extremely busy, but they will let you get overtime and send help as often as they can if you need it.
I worked there for 20yrs I loved my job and the people I worked with. I loved my job. It was busy. There was always work, and overtime of you wanted it. Pros Good insurance, job security, friendly work environment. Cons Parking and lunch room basic. Good atmosphere, prestige seem to average care about you. Management and co workers try to help if they're familiar but people change their hours and can be challenging. Cons Never know when you'll be off on the days you work.
Co workers are alright makes the shift go by. Pay is good and benefits are good. If you like working hrs then go for it but I do not recommend this place.
Pros Pay and benefits. Cons Bad Management, long hours, no advancement, no holidays off. Terrible Job Do Not Apply!!! I was not trained for the job description that was promised. Pros Good people. It's okay, when working, arriving on time, or early, and doing what is detailed within your job description to do.
But, apply friendliness, knowledge, skills, organization and initiatives to enhance what you were told you were being hired for during your interview , making my job more efficient, within an environment where others are the polar opposite and 'your' the minority?
That's a recipe for major sabotage; which took place constantly. With rarely no to only minuscule errors over a month period perhaps four or five minor issues in a month period, all resolved , when your something-year-old co-workers same age as your manager are hired long after you, arrive with their bad habits; huge, consistent errors perhaps each, several high-dollar, unresolved to this day , dyslexia, issues with falling asleep in their car during lunch break, both FT and the previous arriving all hours of the morning, and absences without reprimand, customers coming to "me" to get the job done, because they, too, recognize the poor performance of the other two full-time staff After finally, and professionally, reporting the extreme abuse to management, suddenly focus was on me no problem , and suddenly I was being told "my" work was substandard me, a former supervisor and former quality assurance specialist, who've always taken my work and efficiency serious, having implemented several upgrades within the office to improve access and efficiency for all , yet instructed by - more Cons You do your job well, you respect your work and customers and peers, arrive on time; but they let you go because you do those things while being a minority.
Always working. Drinking on the job, no management support!! Get it done and your numbers better be there or we will find someone else!!
No matter how well you do you can always do better management was never satisfied. Excellent company to work for! Very thorough and organized. Lots of employee education. Highly motivated management staff helping employees succeed.
The work is extremely hard with the people they hire. No family life. You work holidays, they change start times to midnight instead of 7p to by pass that. I have friends still there The hand full they supplied, they were in unfair situations, like transportation and drug testing. No room for advancement. Good luck!!! There is not a day you work less than 12hrs. With heavy lifting all night. Even forklift operators quite.
A great place to work. A great place to work and gain experience in the beverage industry. Exposure to a lot of cool events and products. Nice place but gets really stressful and disappointing after a while. Work is easy and simple but honestly the management and the worker satisfication could be better. Claimed Profile. Good people in operations warehouse, delivery. Indeed Featured review The most useful review selected by Indeed. Somewhat flexible on start time as long as you get your route done and hit certain stops by certain times.
OT available on some routes. Be advised, it is physical and you do have to work in all types of weather. Pros Good benefits. Out on your own, adjust on the fly as you see fit once you learn your route. Cons Pay could be better. Was this review helpful? Report Share. Driver Former Employee - Lorain - September 13, When I say marginal, I mean of secondary or minor importance; not central.
This applies for almost every aspect of day to day operations. Let's start with employees, Heidelberg will assess a certain position and apply the lowest wage when compared to companies around them, making the value of employees marginal. Same goes for equipment. Without trucks they can't make deliveries, but they keep the bare minimum of trucks available. A guy could be in a bigger truck one day and then when it breaks down he's forced to take a smaller truck, somehow try to make everything still fit.
CDL drivers rarely stay, as if they were secondary to daily operations. It looks like they try to use Class D licenced employees and trucks when they really need Class A and B. So rather than making drivers a primary importance, they let them come and go almost as if the front door is revolving. Solutions would be to increase pay across the board, set goals for employees to reach.
Why should I stick around for less pay? Will loyalty and my work ethic be rewarded? Most guys mention 50 cents to dollar raises maybe every year. Not quite the rewarding system you can find at more established companies, ones that have an offer a maximum hourly wage that can be achieved and that will raise with inflation.
Pros Flexibility, Weekends Off. Cons Pay, Compensation. I walked in, did my time, then walked out at the end of the day and that was it.
Nothing more, nothing less. About all you could ask for if you ask me. See, I'm a simple man with a simple brain. That's all I need.
A dull, repetitive task to keep me busy and I'm good. When I worked there it was like any other job. Decent pay, got along with my coworkers, management was a little bit pushy but more less fair. Pros Decent pay. Cons Nothing. Rate your recent company Share your experience to help others.
